Presentations are now available for you to download
The European Commission is preparing for the 2nd Aeronautics call in the 7th
Framework Programme, which is expected to be published at the end of
November 2007, with the proposal delivery date in early May 2008.
To support the participation of small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in
the industrial proposals, AeroSME together with the Industrial Management
Group (ASD-IMG4) will hold an one-day event on
Wednesday, 12th December 2007 in Brussels,
presenting the Large Collaborative project proposals (Level 2 projects
similar to the IPs in FP6), which are expected to be put forward in the 2nd call
of FP7 in the following technology areas:
- Lowering aircraft external noise
- Seamless aircraft health management and permanent serviceable fleet
- Advanced avionics systems for new cockpit architectures and aircraft
all-conditions operation
- Full virtuality in design and product development within the extended
enterprise
- Air transport system security.
SMEs with RTD capabilities in the respective areas of technology, who wish to
take the opportunity to meet with and to receive information first hand from the
proposal co-ordinators, are encouraged to participate in the workshop. SMEs will
have the opportunity to meet the proposal coordinators in person-to-person meetings.

workshop please click here.
Examples of Level 1 Proposals

Research for the benefit of SMEs
The aim is to strengthen the 'innovation capacity' of small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in Europe and their contribution to the development of new technology based products and markets. The programme will help SMEs outsource research, increase their research efforts, extend their networks, better exploit research results and acquire technological know how, bridging the gap between research and innovation.
Indirect actions under this priority include Supporting SMEs outsourcing research activities.
This support aims at SMEs or SME associations in need of outsourcing research to providers of research services ('RTD performers') such as universities, research centres or other, more specialised SMEs.
It will be implemented through two distinct schemes:
▪ Research for SMEs - targeting mainly low to medium technology SMEs with little or no research capability, but also high-tech SMEs who need to outsource research to complement their core research capability.
▪ Research for SME associations - targeting associations which act on behalf of their SME members to identify and address common technical problems and to promote the effective dissemination and take-up of results.
The 1st call closed on the 11th April 2008. The second is expected in 2009.
