In answer to the Commission Communication on General and Business Aviation, the workshop "General Aviation and European Air Transport System - Third Call FP 7" will take place on the 7-8 July 2009, in Warsaw (Poland).
One of its main objectives is discussion on future European Air Transport System based on small aircraft.

First call for proposals under Clean Sky JTI published
The Clean Sky Joint Technology Initiative (JTI) has launched its first call for proposals. In this round, an amount of EUR 25 million has been set aside for aeronautical research and development (R&D) projects.

The ASD SME Group and the AeroPortal Supporting Activity will organise a meeting at Le Bourget Airshow on opportunities for SMEs in the time of the economic crisis.
The meeting will combine presentations and discussions with various representatives from European Industry initiatives and the European Commission. It will address research opportunities for SMEs in the 7th Framework program, industry driven initiatives and future support for SMEs acting in the defence sector.
The Clean Sky JTI has announced it will launch Calls for Proposals in 93 technical areas in the first half of 2009, with anticipated call launch dates of February and March 2009 for some of these Calls.
However, unavoidable technical issues mean that all calls planned in the first quarter of 2009 are likely to be deferred to later in the year.
